An Evening with Brenda Lee
With songs like "One Step at a Time", Sweet Nothings" and "I'm Sorry", Brenda Lee earned more hits in the 1960's then any other female performer. Lee is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. The late John Lennon said of Brenda: "She has the greatest rock and roll voice of them all." Come spend an evening with The Lady, The Legend - Brenda Lee.

Paula Poundstone
Appearing on stage with a stool, a microphone, and a can of Diet Pepsi, PAULA POUNDSTONE is famous for her razor-sharp wit and spontaneity. The Boston Globe said, “Poundstone improvises with a crowd like a Jazz musician…swinging in unexpected directions without a plan, without a net.” Paula is so quick and unassuming that audience members at her live shows often leave complaining that their cheeks hurt from laughter and debating whether the random people she talked to were “plants”.

We're All in this Together
Jansen's Gym & Dance Center Recital

The Boat Drunks
It all started one snowy January evening in central Illinois with Jake sitting in his apartment, strumming his guitar and looking out the window and muttering for the umpteenth time- "Jake, you gotta put this Buffett band together." That next day, Jake put flyers in all of the music stores in town seeking the perfect band. And he got exactly one response - from Mike Miller. The two toiled as a "duo," touting themselves as "The Captain and the Kid" (we're still not sure which was which). After a couple of months, the band miraculously started to form, as Andy and Howie joined. The foundation was almost set; and after three drummers (two of which spontaneously combusted on stage and one choked on vomit - we're not really sure whose...), Larry joined. The foundation was now set - time to conquer the world.

The Boat Drunks is a full featured 'tribute' band, authentically and energetically replicating only the music of Jimmy Buffett. We know over 90 Buffett songs as well as 20 "Buffett-style" originals. The Boat Drunks have been together for 7 years, originally only playing in and around central Illinois. We are primarily a weekend-only band, our band members range in age from 32-50 years old, and we all have extensive playing and performing credentials.

Kansas
The band has produced 8 gold albums, 3 sextuple-Platinum albums (Leftoverture, Point of No Return, Best of), one platinum Live album (Two for the Show) and a million selling gold single (Dust in the Wind).

Kansas appeared on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks in the 70’s and 80’s and played to sold-out arenas throughout North America, Europe and Japan. In fact, “Carry On Wayward Son” was the #2 most played track on classic rock radio in 1995 and went #1 in 1997.

In 1998, Kansas released an orchestral CD, “Always Never the Same” recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abby Road Studios in London. They followed with an orchestral tour accompanied by top-caliber symphony

An Evening with The Guess Who
As the house lights fade down and the stage spots flair up, the sounds of rock and roll with classic sensibilities and progressive nuances permeate the crowd. At first a familiar chord strikes everyone's attention, then comes a catchy chorus followed by a memorable solo or remarkable moment of improvisation. Such an ear-pleasing arsenal carries into a non-stop evening of precise performance taking fans on a roller coaster ride of electric instrumentation, timeless balladry, unpredictable jamming and the ultimate sing-a-long experience. It's a position held by a troupe of true musical luminaries who through over four decades in show business have been loaded with more hits than members can count, record sales well into the multi-millions and more drama than a VH1 "Behind the Music" episode and an E! "True Hollywood Story" documentary combined.
The name is none other than The Guess Who, a group that's connected with the masses throughout a exultant hit parade including "These Eyes," "Clap For the Wolfman," "Hand Me Down World," "No Time," "Star Baby" and "Share the Land." Add in fellow classics and double sided singles like the rock anthem "American Woman" and "No Sugar Tonight," plus "Laughing" and "Undun," and the Canadian bred stateside conquerors are amongst music's most indelible treasures who are eternally etched within the very fabric of pop culture history.
"You're going to see an excellent version of the songs and hear exactly how they should sound or be played," verifies founding member and original drummer/songwriter Garry Peterson. "We're coming at a new generation of fans who are seeing how the band can execute with enthusiasm. And we're also making sure the respect level remains at an all time high for how the music was initially recorded and remains at an all time high for the fans who've been with the band from the beginning."

Golden Dragon Acrobats
Dedication Like No Others

In November 2005, the Golden Dragon Acrobats made their Broadway debut to a sold out audience at the New Victory Theater, New York's ultimate theater for kids and families. Their Broadway run over the next six weeks led to adoration and standing ovations from audiences of all ages and universal critical acclaim from the New York press. The run was highlighted by the Golden Dragons receiving two most prestigious New York Drama Desk nominations -- Danny Chang for Unique Theatrical Experience and Angela Chang for Best Choreography.

The 2007-08 tour will mark the 29th year of continuous touring in the United States for the Golden Dragon Acrobats. With the company's main office based in Dallas, TX, the Golden Dragons have traveled around the world to all 50 states and to over 65 countries on five continents. The members of the current touring company, hailing from Hebei, China, have performed in all 48 lower U.S. states within the last four years to sold out audiences in nearly every major market in the country. The Golden Dragons remain the only Chinese acrobatic company touring year-round in the United States.

The response received from those who have presented the Golden Dragons is nothing short of overwhelming.

The ancient art of Chinese Acrobatics is an old and long running tradition that began in China well over two thousand years ago. Over its long and rich history it has developed as one of the most popular art forms among the Chinese people. While many historical records provide evidence for the development of Chinese acrobatics as far back as the Xia Dynasty (4000 years ago), it is most commonly held that the art form did not become wildly popular until approximately 2,500 years ago when it began to capture the attention of the country's powerful emperors.

During the Warring States Period (475 BC - 221 BC) acrobatics in China began to evolve from the working lives of its people. Instruments of labor, such as tridents and wicker rings, and articles of daily use such as tables, chairs, jars, plates and bowls began to be used as performance props. This unorganized form of entertainment and leisure eventually evolved into a form of performance that became recognizable to the Chinese people.

During the Han Dynasty (221 BC - 220 AD) these rudimentary acts of acrobatics developed into the “Hundred Plays”. More contents and varieties were quick to develop. Musical accompaniment was soon added to the performance as interest in the art form grew among the emperors. During the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907 AD) the number of acrobats greatly increased as the skills of each individual performer slowly began to become much more precise and amazing.

Since these early times, acrobatics have evolved into many forms of performances including dance, opera, martial arts, and sports. However, the impact of Chinese acrobatics goes far beyond the boundaries of performance as it has served an important role in the cultural exchange between China and Western nations including the United States. The citizens of China continue to present their acrobatic art for the world today, as it portrays the hard working nature of their people and sets forth an example of the rich traditions of Chinese culture.

Be a Part of the Experience

The Golden Dragon Acrobats are proud to represent the very best of this time-honored tradition. 2008 will mark the highlight of the Golden Dragons' touring career with their 30th anniversary United States tour. The year will also see the company's home nation of China host the 2008 summer Olympics in Beijing with the theme slogan "One World One Dream". The reflection of that slogan epitomizes the essence and the universal values of what all of us who love the arts hope to foster -- Unity, Friendship, Progress, Harmony, Participation and Dream.

The Golden Dragons remind us that we belong to the same world and we share the same aspirations and dreams. We most sincerely invite you to consider bringing the Golden Dragon Acrobats to your venue. Watch the video clips, consider the marketing and support materials, talk to your friends and colleagues who have hosted the group. Let your audiences be a part of the experience of something spectacularly beautiful.

REO Speedwagon
REO Speedwagon - Kevin Cronin (lead vocals, guitar). Bruce Hall (bass), Neal Doughty (keyboards), Dave Amato (lead guitar) and Bryan Hitt (drums) - are ready to roll into 2007 full throttla with their brand new album FIND YOUR WAY HOME, their first studio collection of new material in more than a decade.

Since the release of their first record in 1971, REO Speedwagon has produced 17 critically acclaimed albums, including the 10-million seller, "Hi Infidelity." The band has scored 13 Top 40 singles, including the number one hits "Can't Fight This Feeling," and "Keep On Loving You," as well as timeless classics like "Roll With The Changes,""Ridin' The Storm Out,""Take It On The Run,""Time For Me To Fly,""Don't Let Him Go" and "Keep Pushin."

Bill Allred 's Classic Jazz Band
We started this quest in late 1989, with our primary mission to find, research and play some of the almost forgotten arrangements of the early reading jazz bands. At the time we didn't realize what a Pandora's Box we were opening. Charts, interest and fans came from all over. Our efforts to try new sounds and combinations have resulted in some very unusual treatments of old and new musical material.

Now after 16 years and 12 recordings, we are still testing our musical resolve

Styx
Spawned from a suburban Chicago basement in the early ‘70s, Styx would eventually transform into the virtual arena rock prototype by the late '70s and early '80s, due to a fondness for big rockers and soaring power ballads.

Early on, Styx's music reflected such then-current prog rockers as Emerson, Lake & Palmer and the Moody Blues, as evidenced by such releases as 1972's self-titled debut, 1973's Styx II, 1974's The Serpent Is Rising, and 1975's Man of Miracles. While the albums (as well as non-stop touring) helped the group to build a substantial following locally, Styx failed to break through to the mainstream, until a track originally from their second album, "Lady" started to get substantial airplay in late '74 on the Chicago radio station WLS-FM. The song was soon issued as a single nationwide, and quickly shot to number six on the singles chart, as Styx II was certified gold. By this time, however, the group had grown disenchanted with their record label and opted to sign on with A&M for their fifth release overall, 1975's Equinox (their former label would issue countless compilations over the years, culled from tracks off their early releases). On the eve of the tour in support of the album, original guitarist John Curulewski abruptly left the band, and was replaced by Tommy Shaw. Shaw proved to be the missing piece of the puzzle for Styx, as most of their subsequent releases throughout the late '70s earned at least platinum certification (1976's Crystal Ball, 1977's The Grand Illusion, 1978's Pieces of Eight, and 1979's Cornerstone), and spawned such hit singles and classic rock radio standards as "Come Sail Away," "Renegade," "Blue Collar Man" and "Fooling Yourself.”

The band decided that their first release of the '80s would be a concept album, 1981's Paradise Theater, which was loosely based on the rise and fall of a once-beautiful theater (which was supposedly used as a metaphor for the state of the U.S. at the time -- the Iranian hostage situation, the Cold War, Reagan, etc.). Paradise Theater became Styx's biggest hit of their career (selling over three million copies in a three-year period), as they became one of the U.S. top rock acts due to such big hit singles as "Too Much Time on My Hands". It also marked the first time in history that a band released four consecutive triple-platinum albums.

A career-encompassing live album, Caught in the Act, was issued in 1984, before Styx went on hiatus, and the majority of its members pursued solo projects throughout the remainder of the decade. A re-recording of their early hit, "Lady" (titled "Lady" '95"), for a Greatest Hits compilation, finally united Shaw with his former Styx band mates, which led to a full-on reunion tour in 1996. But drummer John Panozzo fell seriously ill at the time (due to a long struggle with alcoholism), which prevented him from joining the proceedings -- as he passed away in July of the same year. Although grief-stricken, Styx persevered with new drummer Todd Sucherman taking the place of Panozzo, as the Styx reunion tour became a surprise sold-out success, resulting in the release of a live album/video, 1997's "Return to Paradise," while a whole new generation of rock fans were introduced to the grandiose sounds of Styx via a humorous car ad which used the track "Mr. Roboto," as well as songs used in such TV shows as South Park and Freaks & Geeks.

Following 1999’s release of Brave New World, momentum snowballed. STYX, now Tommy Shaw, James “JY” Young, Lawrence Gowan, Todd Sucherman and Ricky Phillips (along with the occasional surprise appearance by original bassist Chuck Panozzo), have performed more live since ’99 than all of the previous years of its career combined. Two Super-Bowl appearances, Pollstar Box Office chart-topping tours with Def Leppard, Journey, REO Speedwagon, Bad Company (to name only a few), two more studio albums and no end in sight, STYX continues to conquer the planet, one venue at a time.

Tim Wilson
Whether he's singing about a NASCAR driver's sexual orientation or doing commercials for Big O Tires, Tim Wilson can't be mistaken for someone else. The Georgia native's distinctive baritone twang has an edge of roughness -- like most of his comedy material.

Wilson's comic commentary covers subjects such as blind dates, cell phones and annoying relatives. Topics such as sex, politics and religion are not only addressed, they are dissected with a meticulous eye for detail and a somewhat-skewed worldview.

"My cousin told me a long time ago that I'm funniest when I'm mad," Wilson said in a phone interview earlier this week. "I'm meaner than the Blue Collar Comedy guys, and I have more opinions. I like to find someone in the audience who is young enough to be my kid or my niece and explain to them how America is really supposed to be."

Wilson is best known for such ditties as "The Jeff Gordon Song," "Trailer Love" and "First Baptist Bar & Grill," which he refers to as "my Freebird." Since inking a deal with Capitol Records in 1998, he's released more than a half-dozen albums, including "The Real Twang Thang," "I Should've Married My Father-in-Law" and "Hillbilly Homeboy." His latest CD, "Church League Softball Fist Fight," was released in November.

Kenny Rogers
By now, Kenny Rogers has become such an icon that it’s easy to forget how he got there. The songs on 42 Ultimate Hits, bringing together the top songs of his career from the late 60s First Edition years up to his current return to the charts, offers a crash-course reminder that Rogers is a star because he excels at his craft.

Just look at the titles: “Lady,” “Ruby Don’t Take Your Love to Town,” “The Gambler,” “She Believes in Me,” “Islands in the Stream,” “We’ve Got Tonight,” “Buy Me A Rose.” Not a ditty among them. Then listen. The sweetly raspy vocals are instantly identifiable as Kenny Rogers - he sounds like nobody else. More importantly, he inhabits each song, making it vivid and tangible. For more than five decades, Rogers has delivered memorable songs, drawing fans among rock, pop, soul and country audiences. .

When one singer makes such an indelible mark, that’s not mere luck or even simple talent. “I really, really love what I’m doing,” Rogers says. “People survive longer if they love what they’re doing. Because you just don’t quit.”

The Lowe Family
This is the one you've been waiting for! From dramatic Irish step-dancing to extraordinary fiddle-playing, plus so much more, this highly talented family of nine dazzles audiences around the country and around the globe!

Live from one of the largest theatres in Branson, Missouri, the Lowe Family takes the stage to perform two entertaining hours of fast-paced musical excitement. From bluegrass to Bach, this talent-packed family offers an amazing blend of show-stopping classical, Broadway, ballroom dance, Irish, jazz, swing, clog, tap, old-time melodies, six-part harmony, patriotic, bluegrass, and Gospel. Parents Robert and LeeAndra have led their children Kendra, Kara, Doug, Korinne, Kysha and Kayli from Russia to the Kennedy Center, in Europe, Canada, Latin America, China, and throughout the United States, performing a high-energy spectacular. Thrill to their lush harmonies and then fasten your seat belt as their fingers and feet fly–culminating in a stirring patriotic tribute that’s the talk of the town!

The Oak Ridge Boys
Theirs is one of the most distinctive and recognizable sounds in the music industry. The four-part harmonies and upbeat songs of the Oak Ridge Boys have spawned dozens of Country hits and a Number One Pop smash, earned them Grammy, Dove, CMA, and ACM awards and garnered a host of other industry and fan accolades. Every time they step before an audience, the Oaks bring three decades of charted singles, and 50 years of tradition, to bear on a stage show widely acknowledged as among the most exciting anywhere. And each remains as enthusiastic about the process as they have ever been.

Foreigner
"Throughout the 70s and 80s, Foreigner was universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world, racking up scores of smash hits, multi-platinum albums, and sold out concert tours.

From "Cold as Ice" to "Hot Blooded," "Urgent" to "Jukebox Hero," "Waiting for a Girl Like You" to the chart topper "I Want to Know What Love is," Foreigner's thrilling mix of blustery blues and impeccably crafted pop continues to captivate generation after generation of music fans.

Today, some 30 years later, Foreigner is an ensemble of talented musicians each adding their individual credentials to the mix to make the band stronger and more powerful than ever."
